QUEENSRYCHE.COM VERSION 5.0

Welcome to the new queensryche.com version 5.0!  It's been a long time coming, but I believe (and hope) well worth the wait.  Over the past few months, we've been showing off our progress as the new site was being developed.  Included in each update, we encouraged fans to submit requests on what they'd like to see or have on the new site.  Well needless to say, we listened!   And the results are what you see in front of you.  When we say this is a fan site, we mean it!

A year ago when we first started planning the new site, we wanted to make sure that a few important details were covered before it's unveiling.  The most important of them was making sure the site was 100% complete.  I think you'll agree that we accomplished this, with ten times the material we've had on previous sites.  Let us know if you don't agree!

Believe it or not, there's a lot more development and planning going on, even though the new site is up.  In the next few weeks, look for the online Campaign (fan club) to open.  The online Campaign is a private section for our fan club members to gather, purchase exclusive merchandise, order tickets for shows, get news before anyone else, and have the opportunity to chat with the band.  That's just a taste at what we have planned, and there's lots more to come!

The online store has gone through a complete overhaul.  Not only is new merchandise being ordered, but we're now accepting American Express and Discover Cards.  We're also working accepting e-checks and Paypal accounts.

I could go on and on with all the behind the scenes happenings, but we can't give all of it away just yet.  As new features and services become available, we'll be sure to let you know.  So sit back, relax and surf your way through the new site.  I think you'll find that this is truly the best queensryche.com ever!

Enjoy!

Kev

P.S. - Thought it'd be nice to have a look back at the many different faces of queensryche.com.  Check the screenshots down below.

QUEENSRYCHE.COM, Version 1.0
My first website, and not yet official.  Back in 1994 I started this project as a way to teach myself HTML.

QUEENSRYCHE.COM, Version 1.1
As I was learning more and more about HTML, I stared tweaking what I already had.  Thus, version 1.1 was born.

QUEENSRYCHE.COM, Version 2.0
In late 1995, early 1996, I began working on a new interface.  Once the site was completed, I received a call from Michael Wilton.  He was interested in the work I had been doing and asked if I wanted to do something a little more official.  Not quite official, I would be affiliated with the Fan Club for the next year and a half.

QUEENSRYCHE.COM, Version 3.0
Then in late 1996, I had yet again revamped the website.  This interface was short lived, and in fact was only online for a few short months.

QUEENSRYCHE.COM, Version 4.0
Then on November 17th, 1997 I unveiled the first official website for the band.  Now on it's own domain (acquired from the demise of EMI USA), this interface would come to be the official website for the next 5 years.
